Systems & Network Administrator
Position Overview
The Network & Systems Administrator is responsible for the various aspects of the school’s technical infrastructure and adjacent systems/platforms; including but not limited to, network infrastructure (wired and wireless), physical and virtual server hardware, platforms, and associated software, on-premise VoIP system, mobile device management system(s). The qualified individual will serve as a member of the Technology team and will need to serve as one of the top tiers of customer support and troubleshooting.

Terms: Full-time, exempt, 12-month position
Job Responsibilities

Systems & Network Management
- Shares responsibility for the uptime, maintenance, and security of various servers, services, and systems at the school, such as: physical fiber optic and copper network cabling, Cisco router(s)/switches/access points, Cisco security appliances, VMWare ESXi virtualized environment, Cisco VoIP & Unified Communications Manager
- Responsible for management of user/device domains, including, but not limited to, Microsoft Active Directory/Azure, Google Workspace for Education, Apple School Manager
- Supports and manages the Mobile Device Management solution, JAMF Pro, for all macOS, iOS, and tvOS devices
- Collaborates with departmental and school leadership to ensure a supportive environment for teaching and learning as it relates to technology
- Participates in lifecycle and strategic planning of infrastructure hardware/software upgrades/replacements in partnership with the Director of Technology
- Assists with evaluations of new software & hardware, including integration and interoperability with existing systems and infrastructure
- Participates in cyber security planning and implementation, ensuring infrastructure, data, and users are protected from potential risks
- Writing internal technical documentation and end-user documentation
- Continues professional development to better understand the technical infrastructure as well as keep pace with changes and trends in the industry
- Serves the Graland community as an active, participating member of the Helpdesk
- Other duties as assigned by the Director of Technology and school leadership team
Community Support
- Answer technology support questions from Graland parents, reset passwords or redirecting questions to technology vendors
- Actively participate in the school community and assist with other duties such as carline, recess monitoring and others that help maintain the safety and security of the school
- Actively support the different users of the school

Qualifications
Prefered Education & Experience
- 5+ years with IT experience
- Independent school experience preferred
- Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) desired, demonstrable experience in network protocols and administration required
- Experience and proficiency with JAMF Pro or similar MDM that manages macOS, iOS, tvOS devices
- Experience with managing Windows Server and the Active Directory stack
- Experience managing virtualized systems architecture, specifically with VMWare
- Experience and familiarity with Google Workspace
- Successful history managing diversified systems with minimal downtime.
- Degree in related field preferred

Compensation and Benefits
Compensation is competitive and commensurate with experience. Salary is between $70,000 and $82,000. Benefits include professional development, employer-paid health, vision, dental and life insurance, vacation, sick and personal time off, as well as participation in a retirement plan. Daily free lunch, access to an on-campus workout facility and opportunities based on availability for subsidized on-site child care.
