The Alexander Dawson School, an early childhood - grade 8 independent school in Las Vegas, NV announces the hiring of Michelle Eckmann as its next chief financial officer. Ms. Eckmann has a long and distinguished career as a financial leader in both the for-profit and nonprofit industries.  For fifteen years she worked at Bank of America in their CFO group, overseeing core finance functions for different business units.  From 2016 to 2020 she was CFO for the Boys and Girls Clubs of Southern Nevada.  Ms. Eckmann has been active in Nevada as a philanthropic leader, which includes her long service within the Junior League since 2007.

This position reports to the head of school.

Meet the new leader

Michelle Eckmann

Michelle joined The Alexander Dawson School as Chief Financial Officer in 2020. She holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration and a master’s degree in accountancy, both from the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill. She began her career in public accounting with Ernst & Young and then spent 15 years in the CFO Group at Bank of America in Charlotte, San Francisco, and Las Vegas. Most recently, she served as CFO for the Boys & Girls Club of Southern Nevada.

An avid world traveler, Michelle has visited 47 countries and counts Argentina, Italy, and the continent of Antarctica among her favorite places. She is excited to bring her global experiences and perspective to the School! In her free time, Michelle enjoys volunteering; she has clocked close to 5,000 hours serving local organizations in the communities in which she has lived.
