Preeminent K-12 School Hires Visionary Tech Leader to Oversee Entire Program

Since 1998, Mr. Crais has worked at Lausanne Collegiate School, where he was the director of technology before becoming the director of operations. After the merger of two elite schools, MICDS stands as one of the premier independent day schools in the country. The school boasts outstanding facilities, offers a multitude of programs, clubs, and sports teams, and just completed a $100M capital campaign.
Meet the new leader
In 2006 Stewart Crais created the Laptop Institute (now known as the Lausanne Learning Institute), which has become an internationally acclaimed conference on innovative technology. At Lausanne, Stewart oversaw all school operations (technology, buildings and grounds, food services, security, auxiliary programs, healthcare, and the COVD-19 response and management team). Lausanne is a PreK-12 independent school in Memphis and is known for its diverse student body and International Baccalaureate Programme. Stewart has a bachelor of arts degree in psychology and sociology from Rhodes College.
