Lakeside School
Lakeside School, a grades 5-12 independent school in Seattle, WA, announces the hiring of Jamie Britto as its next director of technology. Mr. Britto most recently served as the chief information officer of Collegiate School in Richmond, Virginia, where he worked since 2006. He has been involved in numerous associations as a strategic expert on technology issues in school, from cybersecurity to innovation.
This position reports to the assistant head of school for finance and operations.
Meet the new leader
Jamie comes to Lakeside from Collegiate School in Richmond, Virginia, where he worked for thirteen years and served most recently as chief information officer. At Collegiate, he oversaw the design of new buildings, management of the schools hardware and teacher laptops, and the on-going quest to help improve teaching and learning through the use of technology. He is co-author of the NAIS book, "Leadership and Technology in Independent Schools." Jamie earned is master's degree in school administration from Virginia Tech and his B.A. in English and French from Mary Washington College.
