River Oaks Baptist School
River Oaks Baptist School, a K-8 school in Houston, TX, announces the hiring of Brian Mahabee to oversee all areas of IT and instructional technology. Mr. Mahabee has a background in technology administration at independent schools on the east coast.
This new position reports to the associate head of school for academics.
Meet the new leader
Brian came to ROBS from Atlanta, where he was a technology specialst for Mount Vernon Presbyterian School for four years. There, he aligned educational technology with content and pedagogy
through collaboration with faculty and the parent community, supported the development and implementation of the school's strategic plan and its development in 21st century classrooms, and designed professional development workshops to provide technical training and essential skills through project based inquiry and design thinking methodologies. He holds a masters of arts from Teachers College at Columbia University.
