Advancement Reporting & Data Analyst
The Development and Alumni Relations Office seeks an experienced, strategic, pro-active, results-oriented development professional to serve as the Advancement Reporting & Data Analyst.
Employing a variety of analytical techniques, including data visualization, the Advancement Reporting & Data Analyst will provide information, analysis, tools and insight to support strategic decision-making for the Development & Alumni Relations Office, and will effectively communicate data and insights to staff, volunteers and trustees.
Additionally, this position will create and execute a system for ensuring the regular review and analysis of data related to changes in giving and engagement behavior. Leading the team’s efforts related to prospect pipelining projects, including targeted industry, geography and funding interests, the Advancement Reporting & Data Analyst will build a robust pipeline of new and rising prospects for Dare: The Campaign for Milton.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Initiate and manage projects related to the analysis of internal and external data, and provide conclusions, recommendations, and information to inform data-driven decisions.
- Deliver value added information and analysis that supports campaign efforts by developing and implementing analytic data models to inform fundraising and campaign initiatives.
- In collaboration with the Director of Advancement Services, manage the strategic direction of the moves management program by developing policies and procedures, and providing data and trend analysis.
- Create, implement, and monitor a system for continuous prospect updates and wealth screens while ensuring the timely dissemination of information to appropriate management and leadership staff.
- Lead regular portfolio reviews and monthly prospect strategy meetings to ensure strong portfolios and facilitate the movement of prospects through the solicitation cycle.
- Maintain accurate prospect records and update information including capacity ratings, wealth information stages, pipelining information and funded gifts.
- Assists fund-raising staff in screening, rating, and identifying prospect wealth potential; assign prospects and ensure balances and viable portfolios; track and report on prospect and portfolio activity.
- Create, implement and manage a data system to support the recruitment of new trustees and other School volunteer leaders.
- Produce and maintain suite of campaign reports that provide insights into dollars raised, constituency participation, gift officer performance, engagement insights and Milton Fund metrics.
- Assist the Chief Advancement Officer, Director of Advancement Services and Director of Development with other assignments, as needed.
Qualified candidates will hold a Bachelor’s degree and have 4-5 years of development, fundraising, and/or prospect research experience with demonstrated mastery in the collection, analysis, interpretation and evaluation of information. Development experience in an academic environment is preferred as is knowledge of Raiser’s Edge. Preferred candidates will have proficiency in statistical methods and techniques, including predictive modeling, data mining, pipeline analysis, and forecasting; expertise in statistical software and advanced Microsoft Excel functions; experience using data visualization packages, dashboards and business intelligence solutions.
