Area Technology Specialist
Reports to: Coordinator of Instructional Technology
Dept/School: Technology Department
Work Year: 200 Days
Base Salary: $27,000 Actual salary will be calculated based on experience.
PRIMARY PURPOSE:
Provide initial and direct technical support in the use of campus software and hardware, which includes but is not limited to: printers, audio/visual equipment, computers & laptops, iOS devices, Chromebooks, etc.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Certification:
High School Diploma or GED required
Some college preferred
Valid Texas driver’s license
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Knowledge of computer hardware and software applications
Ability to troubleshoot basic technology-related issues
Ability to work closely with students, teachers, librarians, digital learning coaches, and administrators
Effective organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
Ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
Provide basic campus technical support with hardware and software issues.
Support multiple campuses with technical support by driving between campuses during the work day.
Complete help desk tickets in a timely manner.
Reimage workstations and laptops as required.
Monitor and maintain campus printers including the use of toner and report when supplies need to be ordered.
Assist in updating and maintaining campuses’ technology inventory database (currently in Eduphoria Facilities and Events) in a timely manner.
Assist in the maintenance of electronic records and databases.
Coordinate and participate in the delivery and setup of equipment.
Follow all rules, regulations, and policies of Frisco ISD and follow directives from superiors.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Coordinator of Instructional Technology.

Regular sitting, standing, kneeling, squatting, bending/stooping, pushing/pulling, and twisting. Repetitive hand motion; frequent keyboarding and use of mouse; regular walking, grasping/squeezing, wrist flexion/extension, reaching; may climb ladders. Frequent light lifting and carrying (under 15 pounds); occasional moderate lifting and carrying (15-44 pounds). Work inside; work alone; traveling by car between campuses. Work with frequent interruptions; maintain emotional control under stress.
