Art & Design Technician
Mulgrave is an independent, non-denominational, co-educational school, which is committed to providing an excellent academic programme from Pre-K through Grade 12. We are now inviting applications for a temporary full time Art & Design Technician commencing as soon as possible until the return of the incumbent (December, 2019).
This position is a temporary, full-time position working 10 months of the academic year, assisting students with their artwork, supporting teachers during lessons, and maintaining the art rooms and art displays throughout the school. This position will report to the Visual Arts Coordinator but will also work closely with other art and design teachers with project planning and preparation as needed. This position is well suited to a candidates interested in working with children and youth in a creative setting.
Qualifications:

3 to 5 years experience in or studying art

Good interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills with adults and young people

Good organisation and time management skills
-
Photoshop, Illustrator, and strong editing skills
-
Strong studio art background

A passion for art and experience with your own artistic endeavour

Have a positive attitude, be good humoured and a good team player

High level of IT skills

Must be available to support students in the studio on occasional evenings and weekends
