Assistant to the Admissions and Technology Offices
Loyola School is a Jesuit, Catholic, independent, coeducational, college preparatory secondary school located in New York City, with a student enrollment of approximately 200 young men and women. Position Summary
The Assistant to the Admissions and Technology Offices reports directly to the Director of Admissions and assists the Director of Technology of Loyola School
Role:
The Assistant to the Admissions and Technology Offices primary responsibility is to provide administrative and project support for the Admissions Office. Additionally this position will assist the Director of Technology in maintaining the student databases, as well as updating the website and social media applications.
OVERVIEW OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
Office of Admissions Assistant:
- Work under the direction of the Director of Admissions
- Work collaboratively with the Director and Associate on advancing admissions goals
- Ensure the accuracy of the office's Ravenna and Blackbaud databases, tracking all applications and admissions material.
- Maintain the Office of Admissions Calendar as well as communicate with internal and external contacts
- Work alongside Associate Director of Admissions to coordinate mailings
- To help and execute Admissions events.
- Assist the office in building relationships with local independent, parochial, and public schools to promote Loyola
Tech Department Assistant:
- Manage Education Edge to maintain the accuracy of student and parent data
- Work alongside the Assistant to the Admissions and Technology Offices to guide the school social media efforts; Creating and posting content
- Maintain the content on Loyola’s internal and external websites
- Assist the Direct of Technology in troubleshooting hardware and software issues
- Respond to trouble tickets as assigned
- Help to manage inventory and asset tracking
Other:
- Other miscellaneous tasks/duties as may be assigned.
Status:
Exempt; not overtime eligible. This position occasionally requires extra hours as well as attendance at many School held events.
Typical Level of Interaction:
Requires interaction with all School departments in addition to potential students and families.
Other Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Computer skills, specifically Microsoft Office and database applications
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to work within a team
- Writing/editing experience
- Strong sense of responsibility
- Creativity and flexibility
- Sense of humor
