Job Description Summary: |
The Division of Development and Alumni Relations (DAR) is seeking an Assistant Director, Development IT Project Management. DAR is responsible for leading the university’s alumni and fundraising efforts and seeks to promote a culture of philanthropy throughout the university community, including alumni, students, parents, faculty, staff, corporations and foundations, patients and other friends. Our goal is to advance GWUs mission of excellence in education, research, scholarship, and patient care. The Assistant Director, Development IT Project Management manages a team of software developers in support of the division’s data management, reporting, and application management needs. This position will be responsible for the complete project management lifecycle of technology-based projects within the division. This includes project identification and specification development in partnership with clients; analysis and design; project plan development and management; resource allocation; and documentation. The Assistant Director will also assist the director and other leaders in determining, scoping and tracking project priorities and delivery cycles. This position will also be directly responsible for the management of two full-time programmer/analysts, including work/project assignments, performance assessments and professional development. Minimum Qualifications: |
Qualified candidates will hold a Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization plus 6 years of relevant professional experience, or, a Master’s degree or higher in a relevant area of study plus 4 years of relevant professional experience. Degree must be conferred by the start date of the position. Degree requirements may be substituted with an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. |
