Assistant Director of Information Technology
Montana Tech has an opening for an Assistant Director of IT Network Services/Computer Support position. This position is a supervisory role in charge of the operation of all of Montana Tech's core computing and network services and is responsible for supervising the Computer Support Services Supervisor, as well as the Network Systems Support person.
Operation of core computing and network services includes: network switch configuration and management; wireless network configuration and management; network performance monitoring; server pool virtualization and management; network security, system backups, and upgrade of all central servers. Qualified applicants must have a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Networking Technology or related field and at least five years of relevant experience in Enterprise Computer System Environments. Preferences will be given to candidates with experience in Local Area Networking, Advanced System Administration and Enterprise Systems Management. Physical Demands:
- Lift over 50 pounds
- Walk, bend, sit, stand for extended periods of time
- Kneel, climb ladders 6 ft and higher, crouch
- Carry equipment up a maximum of three flights of stairs
- Move equipment via a cart across campus, which includes up and down hills.
