Oak Knoll School of the Holy Child in Summit, New Jersey, is currently seeking an Assistant Director of Technology with a focus on technology integration to work primarily in the Upper School Division. This is a full-time, 11-month position.  
As a member of both the Technology and Computer Science departments, the successful candidate for the position will have experience
and be familiar with the following:
  • Coordination of instructional technology, including cloudshare management and integration of student information systems and supporting teachers with classroom tools such as projectors and other devices.
  • Creating and maintaining resources for students to learn the systems and software needed in the academic program (GAfE, Office, LMS, other instructional tools) Managing instructional technology budget
  • Creating and managing professional development opportunities for Upper School
  • faculty and staff with respect to the systems and software used in the operation of the academic program (SIS, LMS, Office, GAfE)
  • Teaching Computer Science and/or computer skills classes as assigned
  • Working on Tech Team with Director of Technology, Help Desk staff, Registrar, Librarian/Media Specialist
  • Supporting students and faculty with device use by developing and providing training classes for faculty, staff and students. Managing back-to-school orientation sessions and providing support throughout the school year, including in-class software support for technology projects as requested by teachers. Including but not limited to these examples:
    • Microsoft Office 365 (Outlook, OneDrive)
    • Google Apps (SketchUp, Docs, Sites, Spreadsheets, Forms) o PowerPoint, Excel, Publisher
    • Webpage design-HTML/CSS/Javascript
    • Audacity recording
    • Movie making
    • Working with Technology Committees within the division and across divisions to advance the technology infrastructure in general and through instruction.
    • Convene regular meetings with faculty advisory committees to assess instructional tech needs
    • Provide support as needed for technology outages and acceptable use policies.
Bachelor's degree in related field required. Experience teaching middle school or high school computer courses required. Familiarity with, but not limited to, software listed above. Preference given to candidates with computer programming background. Teacher classroom support experience preferred.
