Assistant Director Technology Infrastructure
The Assistant Director of Technology Infrastructure is responsible for installation, configuration, and support of the institution’s data centers, and the technology network operations center/security operations center (NOC/SOC). This includes effective management of server/network technical environment, and server/storage administration.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Managing technical staff, project delivery teams and the support services team.

Responsible for oversight of the WebDevLCCC AD Domain and LCCC AD Domain.

Responsible for oversight the WebDevLCCC academic computer labs environment: software deployments & updates, imaging, printing services, etc.…
-
Responsible for oversight of DHCP and DNS for the LCCC enterprise environment.

Responsible for the Library (Primary) DataCenter, SSC102 (Secondary) DataCenter, Donley, Morgan & Carbon Sites’ DataCenters and Servers.

Monthly review and testing of Microsoft product updates and release of appropriate updates/patches to the LCCC production environment.

Engineer, support and maintain enterprise managed solutions for Windows computing devices, Mac OS computing devices, Printers, MFPs, Servers and Storage resources on wired and wireless networks.

Secondary support for the college’s Portal Active Directory environment.

Responsible for oversight of the performance of Backups & Restorations, safeguarding the institution’s data storage systems.

Performs research on products, updates, and technical support through the Internet, vendors, and outside resources in order to meet business objectives and project goals.

Develops and maintains the operations manual for this position.

Carries out special projects or assignments as assigned.

Willing to work off hours on a regular basis.

Performs other duties as may be assigned.
Qualifications
Required
Education
- Associate’s degree in a related field from an accredited institution.
Certifications
- Act 153 Clearances (Act 34 PA Criminal Background, Act 151 PA Child Abuse History, Act 114 FBI Clearance Fingerprinting)
Work Experience
-
Three to five years of progressive experience with servers and storage at an enterprise level, client server technology and data center operations.

Demonstrated Technical Knowledge with Windows Server 2012R2, Windows 2016 and HyperV.

Demonstrated Technical Knowledge of Windows 10, Windows 7 and Apple Mac OS.
-
Demonstrated Technical Knowledge of VMware ESXi, vCenter, vSphere and other VMware products.
-
Experience leading and directing technical staff in a collaborative team’s environment to achieve goals.

Demonstrated organizational, analytical, interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
-
Able and willing to perform maintenance of servers and systems during non-business critical hours on a regular basis.

Demonstrated Technical Knowledge with VMWare, Redhat & Oracle Linux and Mac X server environments.

Demonstrated Technical Knowledge with Dell, EMC and HP Nimble Storage Solutions.

Demonstrated Technical Knowledge with Microsoft System Center Operations Manager, Systems Center Configuration Manager and Virtual Machine Manager.

Demonstrated Technical Knowledge of Cylance AntiVirus and Windows AntiVirus, managed enterprise endpoint protection solutions.

Demonstrated Technical Knowledge of Veeam and Dell Appasure managed enterprise data protection solutions.

Demonstrated Technical Knowledge of VBscript, and powershell scripting.

Industry certifications such as Microsoft MCSE, Cisco CCNA, CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security+, VMware VCP.
