Salary: $7,050 (40.69) - $8,575 (49.46) monthly

The Vacancy: There is one full-time, twelve month permanent position in the Technology Support Services Department, District Office. The Position: Manages and supervises the school district student information system for use in or preparation of a variety of specialized local, federal, and state required reports (including CALPADS data); reviews data reports and lists in preparation for audits; oversees amendments to data in the system; organizes material for efficient reporting and retrieval, and trains data and SIS personnel (district and school site); Oversees and monitors inquiries and requests for data information; ensures user accounts, security setup, custom screens are accurately created and implemented; manages the new school year database rollover process; establishes and maintains protocols, procedures, and practices for data systems; provides oversight to district and site personnel in use of forms and reports; provides instructors, school districts, and outside agencies with information regarding student enrollment and other student related information; assists other personnel as necessary; attends meetings as requested; monitors completion of data projects, identifying problems, and reporting progress; develops correspondence and notifications related to the position including letters, memos, e-mails, and faxes; develops, organizes, and maintains training modules for staff; provides training related to data procedures; keeps staff updated on reporting laws and regulations; provides technical support and guidance; researches client inquiries and new technology; and performs special projects as assigned.

Required Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university, with a major in computer science, computer engineering, information systems management, or a related field; three years of increasingly responsible experience; (Any Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university and seven years of increasingly responsible experience in information technology can be substituted for the above.) Possession of at least one of the following is required to be considered: Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate, Windows Server (MCSA) or equivalent (with District approval) required within first twenty-four months of employment and must be maintained; Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or equivalent (with District approval) required within first twelve months of employment and must be maintained; CETPA Certified CTO (CCTO), PMI Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) or equivalent (with District approval) required within first twelve months of employment; possession of a valid California drivers' license and evidence of insurance is required. Desired Qualifications: Experience in a public school setting with instruction and education background is desired. Selection Procedure: The selection process will consist of an evaluation of training and experience and a qualifications appraisal interview each weighted 50%.
