Position Description:

Installs, configures, maintains, and supports client device technology across campus including desktops, laptops, tablets, printers, classroom technology, and software; serves as a client-device and technology expert for campus; creates and maintains a client-device and technologies inventory in order to better inform clients; and manages or administers tools and systems in use by Client Service in the pursuit of providing excellent service to campus.

 

A defined career path exists. Based on experience, the successful candidate will be hired into one of two levels of professional opportunity: Assistant IT Specialist or IT Specialist and will be given the opportunity to progress through the career path by achieving defined performance objectives once employed. Additional duties required for IT Specialist position.

Education Requirements:

Bachelors degree required. Fall 2019 graduates will be considered. Degree must be conferred prior to start date. Candidates able to start by January 6, 2020 are preferred.

Required Qualifications:

At least one year of experience supporting end users and supporting client devices in an enterprise-like environment; demonstrated excellence in customer service; and excellent communication skills required. Student experience will be considered.

Desirable Qualifications:

At least one year of experience in a higher education environment preferred.
