The Department of Educational Studies at Ball State University is seeking applicants for a full-time tenure track faculty member in Educational Technology to teach both undergraduate and graduate courses in support of the educational technology programs (computer education license addition, minor, certificate, elementary education concentration, MA in Curriculum and Educational Technology, and PhD in Educational Studies).

Description

The Department of Educational Studies has a full time tenure track position in Educational Technology at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor and is available beginning Fall 2018 at Ball State University.

The faculty member will teach both undergraduate and graduate courses in support of the educational technology programs (computer education license addition, minor, certificate, elementary education concentration, MA in Curriculum and Educational Technology, and PhD in Educational Studies).

Minimum Qualifications

All requirements completed for a doctoral degree in educational technology, instructional systems, or related field by the date of appointment; relevant and successful teaching experience in the field of educational technology, instructional design, and/or educational technology policy, an ability to develop and design distance education courses; demonstrate a well-articulated research agenda; have a commitment to issues of diversity and equity in educational policy and practice.

Preferred Qualifications

Evidence of an established record of scholarship; potential to direct research of graduate students; post-secondary teaching experience; teaching license and/or P-12 teaching experience.

We provide core undergraduate teacher education courses in curriculum development and implementation, educational technology, multicultural education, and the social foundations of education.
