Summary of Duties |
This Student Affairs position is responsible for coordination of the Access Center Adaptive and Assistive Technologies {AT) Programs. This includes the AT Computer Laboratory, and the Alternative Print Production Center. This position leads a team of laboratory assistants who seek out new and more functional AT and makes recommendations to the Director based on these findings. This position oversees the conversion and editing of all text materials and closely monitors and directs hourly employees to produce converted material in a timely and accurate manner. This position guides a team of technology consultants (student trainers) who train students in the use of specific assistive and adaptive technologies. This position collaborates with the Classroom Access Coordinator and ensures that complete delivery of classroom accommodations are met. This position troubleshoots problems with AT and oversees adaptive equipment check out and return. This position assists Access Center staff with computer issues when appropriate, and offers leadership with the use of AIM (information management system). This position is responsible for maintaining the content, format and accessibility of the Access Center webpage. This position serves as an AT resource for WSU Pullman campus faculty, serves as a member of university committees devoted to ADA assistive technology/ universal design/accessible web-site issues, and serves as the chair of a system wide committee of all AT Coordinators. |

Required Qualifications |
Positions require a Bachelor’s degree and two (2) years of professional work experience in student services or related education/experience. A Master’s degree in a related field may substitute for one (1) year of professional work experience. Any combination of relevant education and professional experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a year‐for‐year basis. |
