General Description of Position

Tri-County Technical College seeks a Chief Information Officer to strategically plan for, manage, and deploy information technology at the College. This position requires a thought leader whose experience using technology to create and deliver value will enable Tri-County to achieve its strategic goals. The College has consistently invested in information technology and has built an outstanding IT team. The CIO will continuously improve the best practices methodologies and system architecture that allow Tri-County to enjoy enviable systems reliability. Working in collaboration with clients, the CIO authors long- term infrastructure and applications road maps and drives Tri-County’s technology direction. Moreover, the CIO’s role on the College leadership team influences strategy formulation and provides input on key decisions in all areas of the College, not just information technology.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree and relevant experience in communications, business administration, computer science (information technology), mathematics, statistics; management information science or a related field and 5 yrs. experience in telecommunications, data processing and/or information technology.

Preferred Qualifications

Strong knowledge of IT operational best practices. Demonstrated experience developing IT roadmaps/strategic plans. Demonstrated ability to successfully implement new systems and applications. Proven leadership in organizational change and innovation. Certified in project management (PMI or equivalent).
