Under the direction of the Deputy Superintendent-Business Services and the Assistant Superintendent-Education Services, plan, organize, control and direct Technology Services operations and activities including the development, design, installation, operation, analysis, maintenance and repair of computer and network systems and related hardware, software, databases and applications; coordinate and direct the development and maintenance of the District Technology Master Plan; design, develop and implement plans and projects for the integration and networking of computer hardware, software, infrastructure and telephones; supervise and evaluate the performance of assigned personnel.
- MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Any combination equivalent to sufficient experience, training and/or education to demonstrate the knowledge and abilities listed above. Typically, this would be gained through: bachelor's or master's degree in computer science or related field and five years increasingly responsible experience in the development, design, operation, analysis, maintenance and repair of computer and network systems and related hardware, software, databases and applications. Recent experience with the evaluation and implementation of educational technology and software is highly desirable.
LICENSES AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
Valid California driver's license.

SELECTION PROCESS:
The selection process tentatively includes the following:Phase 1: Training and Experience Evaluation
Committee review of completed applications and supplemental questionnaires (a limited number of top candidates will be selected for Phase 2)Phase 2: A Technical/General Appraisal Qualifications Interview and a Community Advisory Panel Interview. (Tentatively scheduled for 7/18/17) This results in the establishment of an eligibility list.
Phase 3: Final Selection Interview. The top three ranks on the eligibility list will be invited for a final selection interview with the Deputy Superintendent, Business Services. (Tentatively scheduled for July 21, 2017)
Phase 4: Reference checks and selection decision.
ADDITIONAL SALARY INFORMATION (monthly):
Step 1: $ 8,090 (initial placement)
Step 2: $ 8,558 (1 year)
Step 3: $ 9,056 (2 years)
Step 4: $ 9,581 (3 years)
Step 5: $ 10,134 (4 years)All new hires will be placed at Step 1 of the salary schedule and will advance to Step 2 after successfully completing the one-year probationary period.
Longevity increments are offered based on years of service with the District: an additional 2.9% of base salary after completing 9 years of service, 5.88% at 14 years, 8.95% @ 19 years, 12.11% at 24 years.

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS (Upon Offer of Employment)
Employment Verification: The Immigration Reform and Control Act requires that the District obtain documentation from every individual who is employed which verifies identity and authorizes his/her right to work in the United States.Individuals selected for employment are required to submit to a tuberculosis risk assessment, and, if risk factors are identified, would then be required to submit to a tuberculosis examination to determine freedom from tuberculosis. The District reserves the right to require a job related physical examination and satisfactory results from such an exam.
Fingerprinting: State law requires that all employees be fingerprinted. AB1610 prohibits employment until the Department of Justice completes its obligations regarding the arrest and conviction information, and from employing a person who has been convicted of a violent or serious felony, as defined.
