Classroom Technology Specialist Assistant
Job Summary/Basic Function:

The Classroom Technology Specialist Assistant will be responsible for the following:
-
Assist Faculty with using classroom technology.
-
Provide classroom related technical support.
-
Set-up video capturing and conferencing cameras, webcams and microphones.
-
Troubleshoot and resolve all classroom technical, video conferencing, and capturing issues.
-
Assist Media Service senior Technologists with the deployment of computers (both software/hardware) for classroom installations.
-
Maintain and replace classroom related hardware components and devices.
-
Set-up PA systems, microphones and digital audio recording devices.
-
Create and prepare technical materials for both classroom and internal use.

Train all work-study Media Technicians on basic classroom set-ups, video conferencing and capturing procedures.
Minimum Qualifications:
-
Two years of college or the equivalent.

One year of related technical experience.

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (i.e. Spreadsheets, -Word Processing, Database, E-mail).

Excellent communication skills. Demonstrated skills and abilities must include the ability to exercise professional judgment, work independently, show initiative, organize well, and contribute to the advancement of Media Services and TC.
Preferred Qualifications:
-
Experience with video conferencing such as Polycom and/or Tandberg video conferencing platforms.

Previous computing helpdesk/presentation support experience.

Extensive knowledge of both Windows and Apple's OS.

Experience with sound engineering and PA set-ups.
