Located in central Ottawa, Ashbury College has an opening to cover the maternity leave for a teacher. You will help our students to develop knowledge and skills as they design and produce media projects in the areas of live, recorded, and graphic communications. These areas may include TV, video, and movie production; radio and audio production; print and graphic communications; photography; digital imaging; broadcast journalism; and interactive new media.

As the successful candidate, you have a history of thriving in a busy learning community, working collaboratively with colleagues, and leading co-curricular activities. You keep up-to-date on current learning theories, collaborative planning/teaching, and the use of current industry standard software in the curriculum by keeping actively involved in education and subject matter innovation beyond the walls of the classroom.

Education, Experience and Qualifications: 

  • Ontario Teacher Certification 
  • Degree or experience in Communications Technology
  • Experience with the Adobe Suite

This term will start November 1, 2018 and is full time. The position will run until the end of the academic year in June 2019, and may extend to mid-November 2019. There is flexibility in our timetable such that if you are interested in part-time only, we may be able to accommodate your schedule.
