Full-time, 10-month contract faculty position responsible for teaching a variety of computer information technology lectures and labs.

The faculty member will be responsible for teaching a variety of computer information technology lectures and labs.  The individual will be required to work collaboratively on the development of course materials and pedagogies designed to engage students in active learning processes.

The faculty member's workload will also include:  student advising; service on a variety of committees; community service; and various departmental activities that may include course development and evaluation, mentoring adjunct faculty, and student outcome assessment.

 

Required:

  • Master’s degree from a regionally accredited institution in Computer Technology Integration, Computer Science, Information Technology or related field OR Master’s degree plus 18 graduate semester hours from a regionally accredited institution in Computer Technology Integration, Computer Science, Information Technology or related field

  • Appropriate coursework and demonstrated knowledge of:  Microsoft Office applications, database management, webpage development, programming, networking CISCO, Windows system administration, Cybersecurity, and/or hardware and software

Successful candidate must also have skills or a strong working knowledge with one (or more) of the following:

  • Windows Server administration

  • Desktop Computer administration (Windows and/or CompTIA A+ Certification), or be willing to obtain certification within first year of employment

  • Network administration (Cisco CCNA Certification)

Highly Preferred:

Other skills and Certifications highly considered:

  • Microsoft MCSA, MCSE

  • Information Secuirty CompTIA Security+

  • Linux Administration

  • Programming, Python, C#, Java, Visual Basic, Perl

  • Hardware/Software Troubleshooting
