Computer Science and Digital Applications Teacher

Job Description: King seeks a full-time Computer Science and Digital Applications Teacher who will report to the CSDA Department Chair and the Division Head and will assume duties and responsibilities consistent with expectations for all teachers.

Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Teach four sections of Computer Science classes
• Advise at least one CSDA club

Requirements:

• Masters Degree in Computer Science, Technology Education or related Computer Science program preferred; Engineering background desirable
• Extensive knowledge of the Java programming language, including the ability to teach AP Computer Science, AP Computer Science Principles and an Advanced Topics course in Java
• Knowledge of other programming languages: Scratch, Python, App Inventor, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, C++
• Excellent communication skills and ability to constructively collaborate with colleagues
• Experience in engineering, including Arduino and Raspberry Pi circuit board knowledge, 3D printing software, including TinkerCad, Blender and Fusion preferred
