Computer Science Faculty & Academic Technology Integration Specialist
Perkiomen School seeks an innovative applicant to join a robust and forward-thinking institution. This critical position works out of the Innovation Center at Perkiomen School and facilitates the effective use of technology by students and teachers. Faculty Responsibilities:

Teaching and designing curricula for Computer Science and related courses such as AP Computer Principles, AP Programming, Coding, etc.

Writing grade comments on each student three times per year;

Writing recommendations to college and various enrichment programs on behalf of individual students;

Traveling to conferences and workshops in order to maintain professional development;

Cross-training on prototyping and other equipment & technologies (such as 3D printers, CNC machines, poster printer, laser cutter/engraver, virtual reality, etc.)

Supporting and advising student projects requiring technology use and/or integration

Managing and advising in acquisition of Innovation Center technologies

Serving the school’s after school program for two terms as program leader for FTC Robotics program as well as one additional activity to be determined

Serving the school’s residential and student life program one weeknight per week and one weekend per month;
- Serving as an advisor to a select number of students.

Academic Technology Integration Responsibilities:

Training, orienting, and supporting faculty and students integrating technology into the classroom and beyond

Advising and implementing best practices for advancing the use of academic technology at Perkiomen School

Bachelor of Arts degree in relevant field of study
-
Experience teaching and working closely with adolescents
-
Excellent communication skills

Ability to serve in the School’s co-curricular program

Ability to support the residential life needs of a boarding school community
The ideal candidate will have experience instructing students in computer science, and will possess a high level of adaptability and eagerness to learn and teach new and ever-evolving technologies and platforms. They will work well with both adults and students, and will possess the necessary social skills to promote technology and the innovative programing at Perkiomen School. Successful candidates will have teaching, curriculum development, and computer science experience, a degree in a related field, and be committed to continual professional development.
