Computer Science Teacher & Technology Integrationist

The Computer Science Teacher & Technology Integrationist is responsible for teaching seventh and eighth grade computer science classes and for working in partnership with the Director of Technology and the Educational Technology Team to collaborate with and support teachers in their use of technology and digital resources to enhance student learning.

Roles and Responsibilities

Teaching Responsibilities
•    Middle School Computer Science courses (2 sections)
•    Interdisciplinary computer science and fine arts course (1 sections)
•    Technology Orientation sessions for new families (August)
•    7th Grade Opening Days technology sessions

Technology Integration
•    Advise and assist teachers in determining how technology can be implemented in the curriculum to enhance teaching and learning
•    Support students in the use of academic technology
•    Identify and support members of the community in sharing their experiences with technology and energize others to be leaders in the use of educational technologies
•    Research and educate the community on trends, research, applications and best practices related to the use of technology in the school’s program

Qualifications:
•    BS in Computer Science, Educational Technology or related field
•    Classroom technology integration experience
•    At least three years of teaching experience
