Computer Support Technician
St. Andrew’s-Sewanee School seeks a Computer Support Technician. This is a full-time, 12-month, non-exempt staff position. Regular hours will be Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Occasional work outside of regular hours may be required.
Responsibilities will include:

Manage technology requests from faculty, staff, and students in a timely manner

Collaborate on support requests with the onsite Education Technology Coordinator and offsite Enable Technology Group, as appropriate

Manage inventory for hardware and software licenses
-
Triage requests requiring advanced network support, assistance from other vendors (copiers, internet provider, etc.) and those requiring support from other School departments
Qualifications:

Excellent customer service skills and service attitude
-
Significant computer hardware and software troubleshooting skills, including working knowledge and experience with:
-
Windows computers, Apple products, and Chromebooks
-
Microsoft Office products and Google applications
-
Troubleshooting and resolving printing issues
-
Active Directory, DHCP, DNS
-
Basic network troubleshooting and network switches
-
Classroom technologies, like projectors, smart boards etc.
-

Demonstrated ability to contribute thoughtful planning, careful execution, and effective teamwork
-
Ability to collaborate with other IT professionals and, as needed, various external consultants/vendors
-
Ability to prioritize work and manage multiple activities simultaneously
-
An aptitude for responding with empathy to a diverse community of students and adults
-
Must be self-driven and able to work with little supervision

Knowledge of current educational technology development and trends, preferred
Physical requirements

Must be able to bend and reach to access files and drawers

Must be able to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 50 lbs.
Compensation – This is a full-time, 12-month position. Compensation is dependent on education and experience.
