Computer Technology Faculty
Brazosport College is a Aspen Institute Top 10 community college located in Lake Jackson, Texas just south of Houston. This Computer Technology faculty position reports to the Division Chair of Construction, Computer Technology, and Office Administration; prepares curriculum, including writing syllabi, developing new courses, selecting textbooks, etc.; develops and teaches computer technology classes using traditional and alternative delivery methods; assists in the advisement of students; serves on various assigned college committees. This position requires a Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a closely related area from a regionally accredited college; interest in alternative instructional delivery methods; demonstrated ability in working with culturally diverse populations; excellent written and oral communication skills; other qualities, experiences, and skills that enhance one’s value to the institution; exceptional employment or educational qualifications may be given special consideration as long as Southern Association (SACS) minimum educational credentials are met. This is a nine-month, non-tenure track position with opportunities to teach in the summer as well; salary follows approved salary structure; commensurate with education and experience; summer teaching available as needed; excellent fringe benefits.
