Computer Technology Teacher

Covenant Christian School is an independent, non-denomination Christian school for preschool and K-8 students. We were established in 1985 and have been serving families in Orange County for 33 years. We are ACSI and WASC accredited for K-8. We offer a traditional curriculum taught from a Biblical perspective, along with an enrichment program that includes: Computer/Technology Classes for K-8, Science Lab for K-5, Foreign Language for 6-8, Music for K-5, P.E. for K-8, Art for K-8, Library and A.R. We are seeking a part-time, experienced Computer Technology Teacher to teach computer skills to students in grades K-8. Will also troubleshoot computer-related issues in the classroom, and will be called upon, as needed, to set teachers and/or staff up on the network, install computers in classroom, and install upgraded software. Will work closely with the teachers to teach students necessary computer skills, and/or prepare lessons, that are an extension of the classroom teachers' lesson plans, which may require basic keyboard skills, teaching or reinforcing skills in Excel, PowerPoint, MS Publisher, etc. 

Requirements:

• Bachelors Degree, or higher, in Computer Technology or Education
• Valid California Teaching Credential
• ACSI Certification
• 5 year prior related experience (preferably in a Christian school)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Good classroom management skills
• Ability to listen to, and communicate effectively with, peers and parents to foster relationships
• Ability to create engaging lessons that facilitate student learning
