Job Description Summary |
The Coordinator, Classroom Technology is responsible for supporting audio-visual technologies in all classrooms, meeting rooms and events facilities at all college sites. A primary responsibility of this position is to provide initial response and resolution of classroom technology issues. This role includes installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of AV equipment including the setup and break-down of equipment for special events as needed. This position has supervisory oversight of technical staff.

Minimum Qualifications |
-
Associates degree or equivalent formal training in related field.

Combination of education and related full- time or part-time experience for a total of six years in the field supervising and delivering analog and digital audio visual technology services.

Extensive experience with digital consoles.

Experience operating and troubleshooting audio visual and computing equipment.

Experience reading wiring diagrams and system design drawings.
-
InfoComm CTS certification desired, Crestron, AMX and, Extron level one programming certificate desired.

Strong leadership skills overseeing union, and non-union employees.

Experience with training, scheduling, and supervising and employee performance management.

Organizational skills related to maintaining inventories and scheduling of events and services.

Ability to troubleshoot desktop computers and laptops.

Detailed knowledge of current audiovisual technologies (analog and digital).

Ability to work with Windows, Apple OSX, and Dos Operating Systems.

Skilled in troubleshooting basic PC issues and audiovisual technologies.

Tracks compliance of licenses in the distribution of software.

Basic knowledge of deployment of Crestron, AMX, and Extron programming modules.

Customer service skills.
-
Tracks compliance of licenses in the distribution of AV software.

Capable of pulling CAT5e/6 cables, A/V cables, and fiber optic cables without damaging cable casings.

Ability to crimp and solder various AV cable connectors. Experience soldering and terminating Phoenix connectors and XLR connectors is a must.

Job Requirements |

Must be able to work Monday – Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Work schedule subject to change based on the needs of the department.

Ability to communicate effectively in spoken and written standard English.
