Database Administrator
Groton School seeks an experienced database administrator for the Office of Admission. Under the direction of the dean of Admission, the database administrator will review data to ensure accuracy; develop, maintain, and enhance the existing system; and ensure the integrity and security of one or more databases.
Key responsibilities include creating queries, reports, and data extracts for analytical purposes; uploading new data into the system; maintaining records according to data retention policies; creating key reports with statistical depth and visual appeal; updating forms and applications for use by prospective students and members of the admission team; and cleaning data through regular audits, in accordance with maintenance procedures.
Other responsibilities include welcoming prospective families, answering phone calls and emails, and providing support to other members of the team as needed. Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree and/or two to three years of database experience, expertise with FileMaker, and facility with Google Docs and Google Slides. Familiarity with the inResonance admission database system is a definite plus.
