Database Manager
Maret School is looking for a highly skilled analyst, synthesizer, and strong communicator to serve as an integral member of both the Technology Department and Development Office. The Database Manager must have a demonstrated record of adapting new technologies, meeting deadlines, collaborating effectively on a team, and thriving in a fast-paced environment. Professionalism, maturity, and the ability to deal with confidentiality are vital in this role. The Database Manager must be able to work on campus and in person, or virtually, as circumstances require. The ideal candidate will have a strong background working with an enterprise-level database. A bachelor’s degree or higher is required with a preferred concentration in Management Information Systems. A minimum of three to five years of work experience in relevant fields also a must. Reporting to the Director of Technology and working closely with the Director of Development, the Database Manager plays an integral role in the overall data management and fundraising efforts of the school.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the lead database manager for the Development Office, which uses Raiser’s Edge/NXT
- Manage all Development database-related procedures, functions, records, analytics, and data integrity
- Manage Raiser’s Edge/NXT integration with other technology platforms
- Serve as the lead database manager for school-side student information system
- Conceptualize, develop, and deploy data integration solutions to support business goals
- Perform the more complex database functions and provide support and guidance to all colleagues who use the databases
- Work with other administrative departments, school operations teams, and colleagues as needed
- Use quantitative analysis tools to assemble, analyze, and draw conclusions from data
- Provide database training and support both informally and formally
- Document and maintain procedures, workflows, processes, and complex functions
- Stay at the forefront of best practices and procedures for database management and development services to ensure the appropriate level of leadership and support
- Work on special projects that support school and community programs
