Department Chair: Science, Mathematics, and Technology
The Chicago Academy for the Arts (www.chicagoartsacademy.org), an independent, college-preparatory high school for young artists, seeks a full-time teacher / Department Chair for the school’s newly formed Department of Science, Mathematics, and Technology.
The Department Chair will teach a variety of mathematics courses (including AP Calculus AB and AP Calculus BC) and will lead the newly formed department in long-term process of refining ad aligning curriculum and identifying opportunities for collaboration.
The ideal candidate will have prior experience in leading a department, years of teaching experience at the high school level, a masters degree, and a teaching certificate.
