Desktop Support Technician

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide end-user computer support to the entire community

• Document, maintain, upgrade or replace hardware and software

• Support and maintain user account information including rights, security and systems groups

• Support all installed software across Windows and Macintosh platforms

• Implement, support and maintain classroom audio-visual setups and systems 

• Support other AV and tech needs across the school as necessary

Required Knowledge and Skills:

• 2+ years of strong PC/Apple, peripheral and mobile device support experience

• Strong knowledge of Windows 10, Mac OSX and IOS required

• Bachelor's degree required

• Knowledge of Projectors and audio-visual systems is required

• Experience in providing support to medium to large groups of PC/Mac users

• Committed to providing excellent customer support

• Able to work well in a team setting as well as independently with minimal supervision

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Ability to troubleshoot problems in a timely manner

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Knowledge of Active Directory and Microsoft network services a plus

• Experience working in a school environment a plus

• Knowledge of Casper Management Suite a plus

• Helpdesk and Ticketing experience

Certification in one or more of the following is highly desired:

A+, Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP), Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS), Apple Certified Support Professional (ACSP), Apple Certified Macintosh Technician (ACMT), Apple Certified Technical Coordinator (ACTC), or Apple Certified System Administrator (ACSA).

Physical Requirements and Work Environment:

• Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends
