The AAS Digital Learning Coordinator (DLC) is a school-wide leadership position with the following expectations.  This position will report to the AAS Director. The Director, the DFO, the Director of Learning, and ICT Systems & Network Operations Manager will meet regularly with the DLC in support of school-wide digital learning and systems.  In addition, the DLC and the ICT Systems & Network Operations Manager will collaborate with school-wide leadership teams, meeting regularly, to ensure consistency in leadership, vision, and implementation. The DLC position will supervise the four division technology integration specialists within three divisions (ES, MS, and HS).

Requirements

  • For overseas-hire candidates, due to visa limitations, we can only obtain visas for USA citizens, or if a teaching couple, at least one partner must be a USA citizen.

  • Four or more years experience as a full-time educator, with international experience preferred

  • Master degree in education, technology or a related field

  • Experience in technology / ICT in a school environment, Ed Tech certification preferred

  • Competent in the development and implementation of curriculum with integrated technology

  • Experience with a wide range of hardware and software, such as knowledge of iOS, Chrome OS, Windows, and Mac environments as well as Gsuite

Leadership and Management

  • Provides effective leadership to school-wide digital learning and technology including the creation of a vision, the development of related action plans through planning and organizing, and the facilitation the implementation of the recommendations

  • Collaborates with leadership in hiring, mentoring, coaching, training, and supporting divisional and schoolwide technology integration specialist

  • Provides leadership for and collaborates in the management of devices and systems.

  • Collaborates with leadership, ICT Systems & Network Operations Manager, and divisional technology integrationists to ensure that AAS offers digital learning in support of the AAS Mission

  • Supervises and directs divisional tech integrationists in the the implementation of digital learning goals and initiatives

  • Leads and facilitates educational change and the development of a school that meets the needs of forward-thinking learning environments.  

  • Collaborates in the creation and active management of the digital learning and technology budgets working closely with leadership

  • Creates, leads, and fully facilitates digital learning and long-term educational and financial plans (budget) for the meaningful integration of technology for teaching and learning.

  • Collaborates on the creation of annual goals and action plans consistent with Learning at AAS

  • Serves as a collaborative and active member of AAS leadership

  • Performs other leadership and management duties appropriate to the role as may be assigned by the AAS Director

  • Establishes and maintains data protection to ensure separation of duties for internal control

  • Communicate effectively with all stakeholders in regards to digital learning at AAS

  • Connect with teachers, staff, students and parents professionally to ensure positive experiences for all members of the AAS community

  • Lead in collaboration with Principals and division integrationist in the area of innovation in technology

Professional Development

  • Develop, evaluate, and retain the best digital learning professionals to ensure growth of the AAS digital learning vision

  • Support professional development at AAS to purposefully infuse technology into learning

  • Continually demonstrate a commitment to the big ideas of a Professional Learning Community (learning, collaboration and data analysis) and an effective meeting culture

  • Provide ongoing learning for faculty and staff relevant to effective execution of their roles.

Curriculum Development Support

  • Collaborate with school leadership to ensure that digital learning documentation defines what the students are to learn, what the teacher should be teaching, and how the learning and teaching will be assessed

  • Coordinating the design, implementation, and review of the PK-12 digital learning and innovation through technology curriculum.

  • Collaborate with leadership to develop and ensure an efficient and productive use of digital learning throughout the school’s instructional programs and operations

  • Provide leadership to teaching and learning through meaningful integration of digital learning in collaboration with school-wide leadership teams.

  • Provide leadership in adoption and support of digital learning improvements

  • Engage in and share resources to ensure AAS digital learning is grounded in best practices and latest research
