Professional duties
Teaching
- Develop a curriculum for and teach middle school computer science classes.
- Collaborate and co-teach with subject teachers and the digital learning team (Maker Integrator, Media Integrator, Primary School Integrator) in the implementation of projects.
- Design, coordinate and provide instructional technology in-service opportunities for students, faculty and staff, including orientation training for new and returning faculty during the last two-weeks of August.
- Serve as an advisor for 8-12 students
- Develop a culture of technology use and digital citizenship among students and faculty.
- Stay up to date with the latest research and trends in the field.
- Lead a group of faculty members who are leaders in technology integration through the “technology ambassador program”.
- Lead student groups committed to influencing technology use at the Lycée.
- Contribute to an environment that encourages creative and independent use of instructional technology throughout the school.
- Model effective uses of current and new instructional technology inside and outside the classroom for teachers and students.
- Provide input regarding school-wide and division-wide technology initiatives, policies and pilot programs.
- Plan and lead technology-related extracurricular activities (for additional compensation).
Technology Management
- Submit order requests for and maintain equipment, software and supplies related to the teaching of computer science classes
- Maintain the schedule for various equipment.
- Assure that all purchases and activities are within the budget constraints assigned
- Provide training opportunities for teachers and students, on-site and via an online resource center.
- Work closely with the 1:1/BYOD coordinator to establish policies and procedures related to the 1:1 and BYOD programs. Work together to assure continuity of support for students and staff.
- Report common technical issues to the IT team.
- Provide level I support to teachers and students.

Preferred
- Experience in a 1:1 iPad and/or BYOD environment

- Ability to communicate in French and in English
- Familiarity with the French Curriculum
- Masters in Educational Technology or related field
- Familiarity with: iOS, OSX, Windows and mainstream applications (MS Office, Adobe CS, etc) Web Tools Google Apps for Education Using iPads and laptops in the classroom Interactive Whiteboards (SMART) Filmmaking and video editing Fabrication: 3D Printing and Makerspaces
