Digital Learning Specialist/ IT Teacher
Foundation Phase
We are looking for a dynamic, passionate individual who would be responsible for the integration of digital learning skills within the Foundation Phase curriculum and the teaching of IT as a subject within the Junior Primary in collaboration with a team of Ed Tech coaches and teachers.

An appropriate teaching qualification and SACE registration

Successful experience in integrating technology and digital literacy programmes in a Foundation Phase classroom as well as the integration of iPads into the curriculum.

Keen interest in continuous research and sharing of the latest trends in Educational Technology in the Junior School with regards to coding as the new literacy.

Able to run staff development workshops to encourage the use of software that can enhance teaching and learning & work individually with staff to plan lessons. Focusing on how digital learning can be integrated across the curriculum.

Able to design and teach an innovative curriculum from Grade 0-3

Proven track record in developing coding, robotics, 3D printing and Maker Spaces (especially in the Junior School) – upskilling the staff, offering EC workshops and exposing the girls to these experiences.

Communication of best practice – internally and externally, this will be integral to the role. Working together with a team of digital learning specialists.

Able to run parent workshops – e.g. IT trends etc. as the need arises.
