Saint Andrew's seeks a Digital Literacy Coach/STEM Specialist to join our academic technology team. The Digital Literacy Coach will serve as the primary technology instructor for grades kindergarten through eight and will work closely with the library/media specialist and the Director of Co-Curricular Programs.
Essential job functions: The Digital Literacy Coach supports students and faculty in the successful integration and use of technology at Saint Andrew's. This will involve teaching weekly computer classes, collaborating with homeroom and specials teachers on projects, and providing basic deskside support for teachers and students.
Knowledge and Skill Set Requirements: Saint Andrew's students and faculty utilize a variety of devices. Knowledge of Windows, Chrome, and iOS is essential. Saint Andrew's is in the process of migrating our Learning Commons/Technology Lab to Chromebooks for the 2020-2021 school year. Teaching units in computers include keyboarding, coding, robotics, MS Office/G Suite, email etiquette, and online research. Familiarity and demonstrated experience with these areas is desirable.
Additional responsibilities of the Digital Literacy Coach/STEM Specialist include facilitating technology and maker-related professional development workshops for teachers, collaborating with the library/media specialist on continued advances to the technology program and Learning Commons space, and maintaining our technology resources, including Chromebooks, iPads, and laptops.
