JOB SUMMARY:

The incumbent will maintain and create content for the School's website and social media accounts, as well as other electronic communications efforts including emails and electronic newsletters. Responsible for ongoing oversight of web strategy and operations, and overseeing operational activities of the web site, with specific attention to design, content creation and site maintenance. The incumbent will work directly with the Director of Marketing and Communications on e-communications planning and strategizing, maintaining and enhancing current online offerings, search engine optimization and development of new ways to utilize electronic communications channels as tools and technology evolve.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

WEBSITE

Oversight of website content, photography, news and calendar. Maintain consistency of brand and language through web presence. Ensure that all site content is up-to-date and accurate.
Oversight of the annual year-end update of content on website in conjunction with changes that departments and heads of schools provide.
Responsible for building email blasts that include newsletters and e-solicitations.
Provide knowledge to divisions on web and communications strategies
Develop written instructions for web related communications.
Speak fluidly to constituencies about web processes and concepts
Act as liaison with the School's web vendor, Finalsite, regarding customer service/site issues and updates

SOCIAL MEDIA

Attend webinars and training to plan for future site development
Maintain presence on social media channels, researching new and inventive ways to stay up with trends.
Implement a plan to regularly update all social media channels that currently include Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, and LinkedIn
Track statistics of social media channels

PHOTO/VIDEO & OTHER

Be present at classroom activities and events on campus to take pictures and video. Coordinate with outsider photographers for sports/arts related activities outside of normal business hours.
Compile events and media (links to photos and videos) into email to send to internal community.
Work cooperatively with Technology Services to plan, share, and trouble-shoot a variety of school-wide technology resources.
Working knowledge of project management and ability to maintain relationships with outside vendors.
Ability to keep up with new and growing trends with social media and the full range of electronic communication.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Undergraduate degree preferably in Graphic Design, Marketing, Communications with strong knowledge in Digital Media. 2-5 years experience preferred. This individual should possess in depth knowledge of design software, basic HTML, video editing software, a working knowledge of CMS software and should be social media savvy. Applicants should also have knowledge of a basic DSLR camera and photography basics.

Individual should be organized and flexible to balance multiple projects at one time while keeping everything on track. The applicant should also have excellent oral and written communication.

Speaking: Must be able to communicate clearly in person and over the telephone.
Vision: Visual acuity adequate to perform job duties, including reading information from printed sources and computer screens.
Requires frequent bending, reaching, repetitive hand movements, standing, walking, squatting and sitting.
