Director of Educational Technology

The Catholic School Office of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Albany, which serves students in 23 schools from Pre-Kindergarten to grade 12, seeks candidates for the position of Director of Educational Technology. The Director of Educational Technology serves the schools by providing guidance, consultation and direction in the area of educational technology. This position also collaborates with school administrators to improve productivity and student learning, including the utilization of instructional technology, data analysis and the recommendation of professional development activities. This individual administers data management and student information systems for the schools, including PowerSchool, and assists the schools in their requirements with the Northeast Regional Information Center. The successful candidate must have demonstrated successful experience using computer hardware, software and peripheral devices to support the delivery of classroom instruction. A Masters degree, preferably in technology or computer science, and a minimum of five years of teaching experience, preferably in Catholic schools, is also required.
