As a key member of the IT Services leadership team, the Director, Enterprise Technology Services is accountable for the management and delivery of enterprise technology services including compute, storage, network, and infrastructure services. The Director will lead strategic planning, enterprise technical architecture, engineering, and operations for the campus' IT infrastructure, including the campus network, communications systems, data center, computing platforms, storage, and ancillary support systems. Ensures mission-critical information technology services are highly available, secure, and effectively delivered while managing the cost of service delivery. Conducts short‐ and long‐range planning to support the enterprise information technology requirements of the UCLA campus; actively participates in technology forecasting, tracking, and planning to ensure that emerging technologies are effectively supported. Collaborates with campus IT leaders in the coordination and delivery of cost-effective campus‐wide IT services. Possesses significant authority and responsibility to guide the utilization and implementation of leading-edge technologies to enable realization of academic, research, and administrative strategies. The Director provides technical advice, guidance, and assistance to IT Services leadership. Represents the campus in system-wide initiatives, projects, conferences and shared-service strategies. Establishes infrastructure standards for the organization and is accountable for their effective application. Ensures achievement of technology objectives that have a significant impact on the overall success of the division and the University. Directs large and complex programs impacting broad constituencies across the UCLA campus. Articulates objectives, formulates plans, manages significant human, financial, and physical resources. The Director is responsible for administering policies, providing sustainable stewardship for university resources, and continuous improvement of technology operations for business-critical infrastructure of enterprise scope; directs and manages hiring, performance management, professional and technical skill development to ensure organization is able to support the needs of the campus community.

Minimum of ten years of experience managing large, complex enterprise systems organization with an emphasis on computing and/or network infrastructure; demonstrated ability to manage teams and resources to effectively deliver highly available, mission-critical systems and infrastructure.
