Director III - Technology Infrastructure and Support Services
Minimum Qualifications
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Any combination equivalent to:

Education: Master's degree in computer science, business administration or related field, AND
-
Experience: Eight years increasingly responsible experience in the administration of information systems, including five years in a management position in the technology field.

THE POSITION
The Technology and & Data Services Division is recruiting for Director III - Technology Infrastructure and Support Services (Information Systems).
The Ideal Candidate
-
Has experience managing all aspects of technology customer support, including remote site support, helpdesk, network support, and related training.

Is able to strategically plan direct marketing and business development, especially in the field of technology infrastructure services (primary customer will be area school districts).

Has experience managing data center assets, including distributed data center environments.
-
Has experience designing and implementing disaster recovery plans covering information technology systems.
-
Has extensive experience managing large, distributed networks, including lit/dark fiber, ring and hub-spoke based.

Has extensive experience with implementing and managing server virtualization systems (preferably VMWare), storage array systems, backup.
-
Is proficient in implementing and managing Information Technology Security infrastructure systems including, but not limited to managed firewalls, threat protection, intrusion detection, and security incident management.

Is familiar with the implementation of IT security standards and controls (such as CIS or COBIT).

Can implement security policies, rules and guidelines.
-
Has experience with multi-platform IT Systems Administration, provisioning, and account management.

EXAMINATION PROCEDURES
Following the final filing date, the qualifications of all candidates will be evaluated. The most qualified candidates will be invited to participate in a panel interview with subject matter experts, tentatively scheduled for May 21, 2019. Based on the final scores of qualified candidates, Classified Personnel Services will establish a ranked candidate list. Selected candidates from the list will be invited to a second interview with the hiring authorities, tentatively scheduled for May 28, 2019. Candidates will be invited over email to participate in examination and selection steps, using the email supplied within their online applications, or as updated by candidates in their Governmentjobs.com master profiles. Therefore, it is recommended that candidates check their email at least daily.
