Director of Information Integration
Full-time, 1.0 FTE, 12 month, Exempt
Sandy Spring Friends School Seeks a dynamic and innovative Director of Information Integration to oversee and advance technology integration and library services for the School. Responsibilities include supervision of a team of information integration specialists who cover a range of library and information technology integration responsibilities. The Director guides the Information Integration program through strategic planning coordination and collaboration with many different academic and operations personnel, budget management, as well as staff supervision, evaluation, and development. The Director of Information Integration reports to the Assistant Head of School for Academic Innovation.

Knowledge and Skill Set Requirements: The strong candidate will have demonstrated background and leadership experience in library sciences and technology integration in a K-12 school setting. Experience in an independent school is preferred. A Master’s degree in library sciences, curriculum, technology integration, or a closely related specialty is expected. Candidates should have experience supervising the work of others; experience as a classroom teacher preferred. All candidates must be able to demonstrate strong interpersonal and written communication skills and a collaborative approach to teamwork and problem-solving.
Physical Requirements: Daily desk work including significant amounts of telephone and computer time as well as mobility around the entire campus. This includes frequent walking as well as managing stairs as a part of daily routines, meeting schedules, and response to information integration and technology requests. Occasional lifting, carrying, and positioning computer equipment such as printers, desktop computers, and peripheral devices. Lifting, carrying, and organizing books and other print materials as part of the daily operations of a library.
