Director of IT

Randolph-Macon Academy is seeking a Director of IT to support its vision of an academic and business environment that exploits developing trends in education and back office technology to support the Academy’s vision as a premier co-ed, college prep school where academic excellence, leadership and character are rooted in honor, integrity and purpose.

The Director of IT will:

1. Be a key member of the Academy management team as it implements a strategic vision for 2020 and beyond. 
2. Be responsible for placing R-MA at the forefront of learning technologies, both inside and outside the classroom.
3. Ensure that R-MA’s investments in future IT infrastructure, software and processes provide the highest possible value to its students, faculty and staff.

Key Qualifications:

1. Current, in-depth knowledge of network architecture, telecommunications, wireless, mobile and cloud technologies.
2. Able to design, install and configure as necessary Network Infrastructure (WAN, LAN, MAN) of the Academy.
3. Experience in managing IT in a mixed platform environment (Linux, Novell, Windows)
4. Minimum of 10 years experience within information technology field, at least 5 of which were in a supervisory capacity.
5. Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field required, Masters preferred.
6. Must pass criminal background check.
