The University of Southern Indiana invites applications for the position of Director of IT Infrastructure. As a direct report to the Chief Information Officer, the Director of IT Infrastructure is responsible for the effective and efficient operation of all Linux and Windows servers, network administration, and VoIP telecommunications equipment used to support campus IT services. This role will emphasize formalizing processes, implementing change control, securing systems and networks, and exploring and planning cloud migration. USI’s infrastructure currently consists of over 200 Linux and Windows servers which are 90% virtualized, wired and wireless plant primarily Cisco, and an on-premise Cisco VoIP telecommunications platform. As a member of the IT senior leadership team, the Director of IT Infrastructure contributes to the development and execution of IT strategy and ensures its alignment with the needs of the campus. This role provides strong leadership and coordination, vision, strategy, broad-based planning and hands-on responsibility operating USI’s IT Infrastructure. Essential Knowledge and Skills:
