The Director Systems
Technology delivers end-to-end College Wide Applications (i.e. Banner ERP & associated applications) solutions for the Community College. The position participates in cross-functional teams addressing strategic needs that advance the College's mission. The position functions across teams that includes database administration, middleware, and project management to deliver solutions for campus stakeholders The position researches both vendor and custom options for the best solution within local constraints, and then designs and develops processes to support data and event integration among multiple systems and coordinates system configuration and maintenance tasks for the college. This includes ongoing maintenance and support of existing solutions and the design and development of new features, integrations or applications as needed.
This position develops and maintains high quality and up-to-date critical system documentation.
Description of Duties and Tasks

Required
- Demonstrated expertise in IT project planning, development and implementation.
- Experience with SQL Server Management
- Experience with Banner by Ellucian modules such as Student Information, Financial Aid, Human Resources and other supporting applications.
- Understanding of the community college philosophy and mission.
- Handling the demands and requirements of management in higher education.
- Effective management and leadership models and techniques, including Servant-Leadership Principles.

Work Experience
Required
- 5 years related work experience, including some experience directing the development, implementation, management, and support of both hardware and software for an administrative (ERP) system.
Preferred
- More than 5 years’ work experience to include experience in upper-level management in a higher education environment; long-term strategic planning; systems design; and administrative technology planning and implementation in a de-centralized and distributed computing environment.
Education
Required
- Bachelor's degree in related area.
Preferred
- Master's degree in Information Systems ortechnology-related area.
