Director of Technology
Primary Purpose & Function: The Director is responsible for the operations of the Technology Department including all aspects of non-academic computing, networking, telecommunications, media and support services.
Qualifications & Experience:

Experience in analysis, implementation and evaluation of IT systems and their specifications
-
Sound understanding of computer systems (hardware/software), networks, etc.

Ability to identify the need for upgrades, configurations or new systems and report to upper management
-
Devise and establish IT policies and systems to support the implementation
-
Knowledge of Windows Server 2008, 2012, 2016
-
Have a working knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory, and other services
-
Have a working knowledge of Microsoft Exchange 2016
-
Have a working knowledge of Microsoft Hyper-V virtual environment
-
Experience with Windows server hardware (Dell, HP)
-
Have a working knowledge to manage SAN environment for virtualization
-
Have some knowledge of basic computer networking
-
Have a working knowledge of a MDM for iOS and MacOS
-
Have a working knowledge of Blackbaud school management solutions
-
Have a working knowledge of basic classroom media presentation (Computer Projection, audio amplification)

Have a working knowledge of Symantec Backup Exec
-
Have a working knowledge of Symantec Endpoint Protection
Role & Responsibilities:
-
Responsible for the management of the Technology Departments including hiring, supervision and evaluation of its members.

Responsible for the planning, administering and monitoring of the budgets for the Technology Departments.

Coordinate and direct operations of the campus infrastructure systems including computer operations, telecommunications and facility operations.

Work with staff and administrators as well as University personnel and outside subcontractors to ensure that all operations and support services are delivered in an effective and efficient manner to students, faculty, staff and school constituents.

Ensure integrity, confidentiality and reliability of data by establishing technical priorities, standards and procedures.

Responsible for developing general business plan regarding technology and systems required to maintain operations.

Responsible for coordinating the reservation system for non-ICAC events on Prep’s campus ensuring constituent needs including technology are met.

Provide training workshops and individual technology training for administration and staff as needed
-
Plan, coordinate and oversee technology projects relating to new construction and modifications of existing facilities.
