Director of Technology

We invite you to join our team in making this mission a reality for our students as our DIRECTOR OF TECHNOLOGY. The Director of Technology is responsible for leading the technology team whose primary focus is to develop and enact a mission-aligned SAAS technology vision in collaboration with members of our SAAS community from faculty, staff, administration, parents, and alum.
General responsibilities for this role and the technology team include overseeing the school’s academic and administrative network infrastructure, network and database security, software licensing, service and equipment contracting and all manner of network and server equipment.
Specific responsibilities include: long range planning and coordination for technology equipment, software, resources, services and uses; researching, evaluating, and recommending new technology or upgrades to meet the school’s current and future needs; design and support of academic, administrative, and student registration technology systems; oversight of technology related budget; vendor management; overseeing technology projects related to construction, database conversions and system upgrades; and steadfast customer service for technology end-users through training and support.
Successful candidates are required to have educational and/or proven work experience related to technology management, staff management, and the ability to manage computers with varied platforms (PC, Mac, Linux). Experience with Google Apps for Education, JAMF, Apple School Manager, and school information systems is a desired.
THE DIRECTOR OF TECHNOLOGY WILL WORK IN CLOSE COLLABORATION WITH:

Academic and Division leadership to identify technology needs (and related professional development) relative to strategic teaching and learning initiatives, and to manage academic records, grades and comments, and learning management systems.

Academic and Division leadership to facilitate faculty professional development and help set the strategic professional development objectives related to technological efficiency and innovation;

Academic leadership, including Deans and the Registrar, in building and adapting the academic schedule, supporting registration and tracking credits;

Admissions and Enrollment Management and Marketing and Communications departments, in maintaining current data systems and onboarding new systems.

Development Department and needs related to donor records, donor management, fiscal reporting and donor research.

Operations Departments for systems support, planning and budgeting.
