Director of Technology
Connelly School of the Holy Child, a girls’ independent school in the Washington D.C. metro area, is accepting applications for the position of Director of Technology. This position reports to the Assistant Head of School. Responsibilities include the following:
Administering, maintaining, and upgrading the school technology infrastructure, which includes being responsible for computer workstations and laptops, iPads, Windows servers, school backups, managed wireless access points, networks switches, and firewalls.
Planning, deploying, and maintaining the school’s Windows Domain Infrastructure and the Office 365 cloud system.
Administering and troubleshooting issues relating with the school PBX phone system.
Maintaining classroom hardware and software technology including projectors, printers, document cameras, scanners, classroom sound systems.
Configuring software technology used in classrooms that includes Office applications, test generators, Adobe applications, Kurzweil software, chemistry digital proves for labs, etc.
Developing training for faculty, staff, and students including Office 365, Office 2013 and Adobe applications, Kurzweil software, Windows operating system, Mac operating systems, iPads, etc.
Serving as main point of contact for contracts with vendors and support companies.
Serving as administrator for the school Veracross student system database.
Developing and implementing the school Technology Plan and serving as the chair of the Technology committee
Preparing and administering the Technology Department capital and operational budget.
