Presidio Hill School (PHS) is a proud progressive preK-8 independent school comprised of approximately 225 students and 30 faculty members, and located in the Presidio Heights neighborhood of San Francisco, California. Established in 1918, Presidio Hill School is the oldest progressive independent school in the state. Child-centered and inclusive, the school graduates students who know themselves well, are creative and critical thinkers, who love learning, and who have developed skills and tools to contribute positively to their local communities. The school focuses on social and emotional as well as cognitive learning as the needed balance to a productive and well-balanced life. Presidio Hill School seeks an outstanding, experienced Director of Technology to provide leadership to the school’s educational technology program and manage its technology infrastructure. Ideal candidates will be energized by the opportunity to work with all constituencies in the school to grapple with contemporary ethical issues in technology such as access, privacy, civil rights, security, and sustainable practices. We seek candidates who enjoy the interplay between the micro and macro aspects of the job and who will be excited to employ a range of pedagogical and interpersonal approaches in a values-based community. Candidates should have a demonstrated commitment to addressing issues of equity, belonging, privilege, and justice and passion for working in a progressive educational environment.
