Director of Web Communications & Technology
La Salle College High School seeks a Director of Web Communications & Technology. The Director of Web Communications &Technology is a twelve-month employee who is responsible for the administration of the La Salle College High School Website, the integration of all Web-based software, and the coordination of all mass email communications from the school. The Director of Web Communications &Technology reports directly to the Chief Information Officer and is part of an information technology team of six full-time professionals. The position is available immediately.
The Director of Web Communications & Technology
- Oversees all software updates to the Website's content management system (CMS) and Web software, researches emerging Web technologies, and works on the creation and implementation of Web objectives as part of an overall Strategic Plan.
- Is responsible for the graphical layout and design of the Website and all Web-Based software in accordance with the school's Style and Identity Guide and current web design standards. Ensures coherent articulation of LSCHS branding, image, and position via web technology to internal and external constituencies.
- Monitors, analyzes, and utilizes data from both Google Analytics and various social media analytics to determine web strategy.
- Works with the Network and Website Administrator to oversee the updating of all content on the LSCHS Website by responsible content managers, reviews content updates before publishing, and trains content managers as needed.
- Coordinates via individual content manager's website updates, news items, announcements, events, scores, and notifications for the following various constituencies school constituencies -- including but not limited to the Parents Organizations, Alumni Association and Booster Groups.
- coordinates all mass email communications from the school in collaboration with event and office managers, monitoring the proximity and frequency of mass email communications, and maintaining email subscription lists and policies in accordance with legislation and national standards.
- Works with the Director of Multimedia Technology to coordinate the inclusion of multimedia throughout the LSCHS Website and to maintain La Salle's Social Media presence both internally and externally.
- Works with the Network and Website Administrator to coordinate the integration of school databases with the Website's content management system and all Web-based software.
- Monitors and implements trends in the fields of web technology, online marketing, and digital communications for schools and other nonprofits
- Teaches classes in the Information Sciences and Technology Department as deemed appropriate by the Principal.
Preferred Candidates will possess:
- A Bachelor's degree; Master's degree preferred
- 5+ years of experience in web communications and strategy
- Prior experience administering a highly integrated Finalsite School
- Strong knowledge of SEO and digital marketing including web and email engagement strategy as well as Google Analytics/Social Media Aggregated Analytics
- Experience overseeing the design and production of website(s)
- Strong working knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite (particularly Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator)
- An appreciation for Lasallian philosophy and pedagogy
- Strong managerial, interpersonal and collaborative skills; self-directed and highly motivated
- Ability to lead and supervise students and interns
- Organized, detail and task-oriented, with excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite
- Demonstrated successful experience writing press releases and other promotional materials
- Committed to working with shared leadership and in cross-functional teams
